"OUR LIGHT" Project
The KPARE Organization will be working together for the Kenai Peninsula until 2013 to have as many
Renwable Energy Technologies producing clean energy for our community. According to HEA, our utility cooperative will not be signing a new contract with
Chugiak come 2013 and will be depending on our own communities production of energy. Some of the energy will be coming from renewable energy projects
that are in the developmental stage right now and the rest will need to come from a new fossil fuel plant that HEA will need to develop. To
reduce the large costs of a new fossil fuel plant KPARE
is looking for as many volunteers to help move the renewable energy projects to a new level, from Solar, Hydro, Wind-Farm and more. From Large
to Small renewable energies... the more clean energy we can produce the less we will have to pay for a new fossil fuel plant and the smaller
carbon foot print we will leave for our children!
